WHAT IS THE UI/UX DESIGNATHON
The UI/UX Designathon is a weekend long competition where students will tackle User Interface and User Experience design problems for a variety of sponsors. The competition will be held at McMaster University, where students will work in teams of 2 to 3 to design, create, and present their masterpieces.

UI/UX Designathon will be held in a hybrid format from November 4th to 6th, 2022.
When and where?
YES! UI/UX Designathon is completely free for all students.
Is it free?
Registration will close on November 3rd at 11:59 PM EST
When will registration close?
We recommend competing in teams of 2 to 3 to tackle the UI/UX aspects of each problem. If you don't have team don't worry, we have team building sessions!
Do I need a team to register?
We will be using Hopin.to to run the event and DIscord for communication
What platforms will be used?
You are supposed to prototype a website or mobile app.
You will be working in a team to solve problems provided by our sponsors!
What will I be working on?
No! We encourage all skill-levels to compete in the UI/UX Designathon. If you are a beginner, we will have workshops and support set up throughout the competition.
Do I need to be a certain skill level?
You can use any software of your choice to present a working prototype of website/app to the judges.
If this is first time for you prototyping, we recommend Figma and Adobe XD. Figma is great for collaboration within a group.
What software can I use?
UI/UX Designathon is open to students from ALL universities!
Can anyone participate?
NO! You don't need to code the website or mobile app. You just need to prototype them.
You won't be judged on the code if you decide to code your prototype.
