DESIGNATHON 2017
INTRODUCTION
The MacCAD Designathon of 2017, hosted by the Mac Design League at McMaster University, was the first of its kind in Canada. The event aimed to promote the use of CAD, modelling, and 3D printing as tools to tackle problems beyond the classroom scope. The event was structured as a two day competition where participating teams would choose one of three unique design challenges and subsequently develop their own solutions. By the end of the event, students had the opportunity to learn about various modelling techniques, 3D print their designs, present to a panel of judges, and interact with other students with similar interests.
